Raffle Permits

If you or your organization want to hold a raffle, the State of Connecticut requires you to obtain a permit first. The application can be picked up at the Records Window at Police Headquarters during business hours or you can download it from the State's website.

Once the application is filled out, it must be returned to Police Headquarters for the Chief of Police's signature. Once it is signed you have the option of having us mail it to Charitable Games for you, or you may bring it directly to Charitable Games yourself. Once the application is reviewed and approved, the permit will be issued and it will be sent to the Torrington Police Department for the Chief's signature. You will be contacted by us as soon as the permit is available to be picked up. Fees, which are set by the state, vary greatly depending on the type of raffle.
